12th February - Super Sunday Part 2
It's been a busy few weekends for matches with all three teams in action at least once. We did lose some, it's true, but we also won quite a few! As usual, the greens are making their way back up the table in the New Year with some superb comebacks. Read all about the wins, draws and losses on our match reports page.
25th January - Match reports & new faces
Just a quick one for a Thursday night - match reports from last Sunday's matches are in! Have a read about how all three teams did on the match reports page.
We also had some new faces at our beginners training session on Monday, but we're still looking for more people! I promise we're a very friendly bunch who will make you feel welcome :-) Monday, 6,30pm, Rye St Antony School. Say hello!
21st January - Super Sunday & 2 wins for us!
It's been a jam packed weekend of korf with all three teams playing our local rivals of Didcot, Abingdon and Oxford City. The firsts and seconds won their games very comfortably while the thirds put up a great fight, with 2 players playing their first ever game superbly. See some photos of the first team on the photos page.
P.S. Don't forget our beginners session tomorrow (Monday 22nd) - Rye St Antony School at 6.30pm. Hope to see you there!
16th January - Happy korfing new year & 2018 matches are go
It's half way through January already and korfball is very much back on! We've had two training sessions so far, with lots of players coming back to burn off their Christmas energy. Last Sunday Isis 1 also played Farnborough in a game where we scored a very respectable 13 goals to their 19. Watch out for Super Sunday next week with all 3 teams in action!
23rd December - Merry Korfmas everyone!
Our last training session of 2017 saw us decked out in festive costumes for our traditional Santas vs Miscellaneous Christmas game. I have a feeling Santas ran away with the victory, but it was a fun match all round! See our photos page for all the korfball moves and questionably festive attire.
11th December - sNOw matches for us yesterday..!
Unfortunately the massive deluge of snow Oxford experienced yesterday meant that our final match of the season against Abingdon 3 had to be postponed, but don't fear we will beat them next year instead! :-) In the meantime, read our match report from last week and anticipate our annual Christmas training session on the 18th! If anyone reading this didn't get the email, our training session tonight is also cancelled due to snow.
Oxford Isis Korfball Club was set up in 2007 and has been showing the rest of the world how it's done since then!
Our three mixed teams play regular games and have plenty of social events, and we're always on the lookout for new recruits.
Join us, won't you?
