News31st March - More wins, a social & happy Easter weekend!
Been a bit behind on the putting up the match reports, but this means there's a bumper crop of 4 to catch up on. And the great news is that we won 3 out of 4! Ok, one was a inter-club game, but we're taking it ;-) We went for a meal at Big Society followed by an ice cream to bring the club together as friends again - needless to say it was a competitive match. It's also Easter weekend (so no training on Monday 2nd April everyone) and there are only a few games left of the season, so let's burn off the chocolate and end on a high! 13th March - Week off & goodbye to Nicola and Veronika It's been a quiet week what with no games for Mothering Sunday and only one match report to update the site with. But of course this doesn't last long - there are two Super Sundays coming up with all three teams playing so keep an eye out for all the news next week! We also say goodbye to our players Nicola and Veronika who are leaving Oxford to move to the opposition that is Cambridge. They've both been great to have in the club the last couple of years and will definitely be missed! We wish them and their new arrival all the best :-) 4th March - Our well deserved (but brief) winning streak! Just up on the match reports page are the write ups from last weekends' games, featuring Isis 2 and Isis 3 against the always experienced Didcot 2 and the growing in confidence Abingdon 3. Happy to say that we won both! Some fantastic goals from our players, especially in the Isis 3 match where 5 different players scored. 28th February - Korf korf korf Match reports from the 18th are up! Unfortunately we lost both our games that weekend against some tough opponents, but as a sneak preview of next week's reports, I can exclusively reveal that we won both matches on the 25th! As is the Oxford Isis way we get better every match towards the end of the season, making up for our rusty-ness at the start. Read more next week! 20th February - Solid weekend of korf The second half of the korf season is well underway, with Isis 2 and Isis 3 both in action the past two weekends. We had some great games, with lots of goals and the third team in particular are really growing in confidence and scoring ability! Read match reports from the 11th February now, and watch out for those from the 18th coming soon. 12th February - Super Sunday Part 2 It's been a busy few weekends for matches with all three teams in action at least once. We did lose some, it's true, but we also won quite a few! As usual, the greens are making their way back up the table in the New Year with some superb comebacks. Read all about the wins, draws and losses on our match reports page.
