22nd June - All new committee! (well partially new..)
Not content with doing our civic duty and voting in the general election, we also held our AGM on the same day and voted in a new committee! We welcome Frances as Chair, replacing Paul who has done some sterling work over the past 3 years. Replacing Caroline as Secretary is CatherineB, who will keep us all in order, and replacing Marcus who has finally managed to escape the committee after 5 years of trying, is DanF. Anni has also been cajoled into becoming Referee Co-ordinator - thank you! We will let you leave one day...

12th June - Bristol tournament report
Due to multiple late drop outs, just 8 Isis players made it to the Bristol tournament on Saturday! However we did not let lack of subs, exhaustion or unseasonably strong winds stand in our way! We really worked well together as a team and won 3 out of our 6 games, one of which ended in a nail biting penalty shoot out with Southampton, which went down to the wire!! We even finished the day injury free, a victory in itself!! Thanks to everyone who came along and played, not that long to wait until the next one!

6th June - Summer tournaments are go!
Last Sunday saw our first 2017 summer tournament, and for once it was the perfect weather! We travelled to Cheam in Surrey for the Nomad's tournament, which is probably one of the biggest (and best organised) ones of the year. Although our korf game was perhaps enjoying a bit of a holiday, we had a great time and enjoyed the BBQ, flapjacks and Kath's coaching :-) Have a look at some photos from the day here!
17th April - See our smiley faces enjoying our korf socials
We're recently taken to going to a fortnightly pub quiz at the Prince of Wales pub in Iffley Village, and have now won on 2 occasions! All credit must pretty much go to Joe for his incredible knowledge about basically everything, but of course the rest of us chip in an answer now and again :-) Have a look to see how much fun we've been having on our photos page!
17th April - 4 wins out of 6 matches in two weekends of Super Sundays!
It's been a busy time for us recently, so we're appreciating the Easter break to take a well earned korfball breather! The past 2 weekends has seen all of Isis Korfball Club playing all of Abingdon and Didcot and City too.
We played hard and were thrilled to win 4 matches out of 6, which somehow means that Isis 1 are playing for promotion to Div 1a in our final match of the season against Farnborough 2! And Isis 2 & 3 end up finishing in 5th and 7th places respectively in Div2 North - a great achievement especially for our 3rd team who didn't exist this time last year! Read all the thrilling match reports here!
Oxford Isis Korfball Club was set up in 2007 (happy 10th birthday to us!) and has been showing the rest of the world how it's done since then!
Our three mixed teams play regular games and have plenty of social events, and we're always on the lookout for new recruits.
Join us, won't you?
