Outdoors training to re-start 12th April

Outdoors training will be starting on Monday 12th April 6-8pm (or until it gets dark) at the Oxford Rugby Club in North Hinksey Park. We plan to train outside on Monday evenings until at least 10th May.

Put weekly korfball back in your calendars! Hope to see you all soon!

What to know before coming:
  • Stay at home if you have any of the symptoms!
  • Regularly and thoroughly wash hands with soap and water (for a minimum of 20 seconds) – at least on arrival and on departure.
  • We will also provide hand sanitiser, and make sure that balls and posts are regularly wiped with sanitiser.
  • Bring your own bottle – no sharing!
  • No use of bibs unless brought directly by the player.
  • Face coverings are recommended for non-players whilst training outdoors (and mandatory indoors).
  • Changing rooms are not available at the venue but toilets are. Please get dressed in your Oxford Isis attire at home.
  • Sign up for training sessions and completing a self-assessment are mandatory. We will send you a link via email every week by the Friday prior. You will have until 6pm on the Sunday before to let us know you are coming.
  • Training sessions may look and feel a bit different as we must seek to minimise the frequency and duration of face-to-face contact within one metre of other players, and ensure that we are maintaining social distancing when not actively participating in drills. So no high fiving after a goal!
  • Avoid shouting at all times.
  • All participants in the training session have a responsibility to notify the Club COVID-19 Officer (Krista) should they experience symptoms of COVID-19 within 48 hours of the training session.

Looking for new players - yes, you!
New to Oxford and want to meet lovely new people? Or do you want to try a fun sport that you've (probably) never heard of? Or did you play korf at uni and miss the goals and the glory? Well, Oxford Isis Korfball club is the place for you!

We're looking for new players (male and female), whether you've no idea what korfball is, have dabbled in the past, or have many games under your belt. We have three teams in two local leagues, and many matches from now until April, plus lots of fun summer tournaments. All ages (16+) welcome!

But it's not all just about the sport! We have regular socials out in Oxford, from pub quizzes, karaoke and board game evenings to things like salsa dancing and ceilidhs. Plus, our legendary korfmas (Christmas) meal and quiz. So drop us an email on info@oxfordisis.co.uk and find out why korfball is such a great sport
