Looking for new players - yes, you!
New to Oxford and want to meet lovely new people? Or do you want to try a fun sport that you've (probably) never heard of? Or did you play korf at uni and miss the goals and the glory? Well, Oxford Isis Korfball club is the place for you!
We're looking for new players (male and female), whether you've no idea what korfball is, have dabbled in the past, or have many games under your belt. We have three teams in two local leagues, and many matches from now until April, plus lots of fun summer tournaments. All ages (16+) welcome!
But it's not all just about the sport! We have regular socials out in Oxford, from pub quizzes, karaoke and board game evenings to things like salsa dancing and ceilidhs. Plus, our legendary korfmas (Christmas) meal and quiz. So drop us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org and find out why korfball is such a great sport :)
29th November - On korfmas eve (OIKC Christmas meal eve) it's time for a match report update! The past few weeks have seen all our teams playing a range of other teams, with a variety of scores! :D Our 2nd team took on Oxford Uni for the final weekend in a row and had a superb game winning 18-3, although the match against our thirds didn't go our way. Read more in the diligently written match reports!
18th November - As it's #korfsunday there are 3, yes 3, new match reports up online charting the matches against Oxford Uni - spoiler, 2 wins and a loss. It's like we can't keep away from each other because we just played 2 more games against them! Look out for how they went next week :)
Oxford Isis Korfball Club was set up in 2007 and is the friendliest, most inclusive and most fun club in Oxford (even if we do say so ourselves!) Beginners and old hands all welcome :)
Our three mixed teams play regular games and have plenty of social events, and we're always on the lookout for new recruits.
Join us, won't you?
