NewsLooking for new players - yes, you!
New to Oxford and want to meet lovely new people? Or do you want to try a fun sport that you've (probably) never heard of? Or did you play korf at uni and miss the goals and the glory? Well, Oxford Isis Korfball club is the place for you! We're looking for new players (male and female), whether you've no idea what korfball is, have dabbled in the past, or have many games under your belt. We have three teams in two local leagues, and many matches from now until April, plus lots of fun summer tournaments. All ages (16+) welcome! But it's not all just about the sport! We have regular socials out in Oxford, from pub quizzes, karaoke and board game evenings to things like salsa dancing and ceilidhs. Plus, our legendary korfmas (Christmas) meal and quiz. So drop us an email on info@oxfordisis.co.uk and find out why korfball is such a great sport :) 9th March - It may seem like it's been quiet on the korfball front but it's been anything but! Matches every weekend have seen a lot of energetic (read: tiring) korf and korfers, but we have got a fair few wins and draws out of it! Highlights include some challenging but enjoyable games for the first team in Southampton, a superb win for the seconds over Abingdon 3 and a strong draw for the thirds against Oxford City 5. Read all the match reports here! 21st January - And we're back! We kicked off the second half of the season with a thoroughly enjoyable 10-3 win for our seconds over Abingdon 3. We've also had the first three of our January beginners training sessions which have seen a good number of new faces all giving korfball a go. There's still time to come along - the more the merrier :)
